Our Dream

CASA TIBUBIU is the fulfilment of a dream. The dream of a Balinese man, Ketut Sadia, a native of Krambitan, West Bali. The son of humble Balinese farmers, he spent his childhood labouring hard in the ricefields after school to help his parents and brothers. After successfully graduating from a local university, speaking fluently French and English, and working as a guide for 25 years, he was eager to do something for his hometown. In 2019, he first created ALAS ARUM ECOLODGE, a tiny hideaway in a nearby hamlet for visitors willing to discover Bali's age-old everyday life and traditions. He was helped to implement this beautiful project by his wife, Agnes, a former ethnology researcher, who is also strongly committed to social, cultural, and environmental issues. In 2026, CASA TIBUBIU, a new little gem nestled amidst the ricefields, steps away from the ocean, is ready to welcome travelers who wish to experience the local Balinese country life. Their ultimate aim is to help preserve its traditional cultural heritage, provide job opportunities to the local community, and minimize the impact on the environment through practicing sustainable tourism.
